(Shreveport, LA) The Louisiana Primary Care Association’s Annual Conference kicks of at the Shreveport Convention Center on June 27-30th, 2010. At the conference,ThotBox Solutions Group CEO Remyi Fredson-Cole will be teaching a course entitled “Improving Community Health Center Quality & Efficiency Through Technology.” On June 30th at 8:00 AM, the CE course will give an overview of Health Information Technology (Health IT), the considerations for planning and implementing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, as well as the benefits of utilizing Health IT in the community health center setting. Mr. Fredson-Cole will also discuss the current federal government grants through the “Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act,” (HITECH), which will subsidize physicians, hospitals and health centers to implement EMR.

This course is the first in a series of workshops and webinars that ThotBox is developing. With 10 years of active IT experience under his belt, Mr. Fredson-Cole is passionate about leading the charge in Health IT by conducting these informative workshops and seminars to demystify the new federal grants/requirements, healthcare technology and considerations for EMR systems. One set of workshops are planned for physicians/group practices, one for community health center administrators, while another track will train individuals to become Health IT technicians and specialists.
